HØST is an eclectic sound designer and producer from the UK - releasing an array of sonics with previous releases on Hooversound [Sherelle], Division & Vision [Noisia], while also releasing an assortment of ditties independently. With more WIPs than you’ve had hot dinners, they’re a producer to keep your eye on. Gaining support from Tom Ravenscroft, Sherelle, Noisia, Ivy Lab & Amon Tobin.

In his own words -

“During the first lockdown I was writing a new song/sketch every day, and ‘Fidget’ was one of those. The lead is just a single recording of me playing around on the Korg Minilogue with some simple distortion. I wanted to write more drum and bass as I had been concentrating on slow-tempo beat music, so this was me playing around with something different. I didn’t really think the song would ever see the light of day but sent it to Tom when he asked to hear some WIPs.

‘Eyes’ started out as a completely different song called ‘Faded’ - I was originally going for a minimal groove, and as per usual, changed it time and time again till it was unrecognisable from the original track. I met Taurri through a mutual friend at university and we hit it off and planned to work on something together. I got in touch with him around Christmas 2021 and he sent me through the vocals & I sculpted the final track around them. I wanted to make something dance floor-esque to go with the more wiggy sound of fidget.

I was elated when Tom asked to release these tracks on his label as his music really inspired me to start production. I remember going on holiday to Portugal when I was a wee nipper and listening to 'Underpass' for the first time on the Shogun Audio podcast. It feels really Full Circle (Rockwell reference lol) and I’m excited to share these songs with the world.”
